How we choose — and what we say no to

We don't stock everything. That's rather the point.

Korean skincare moves fast — there's a new "must-have" ingredient almost every week — and the easy thing would be to pile it all onto the shelf and let you work it out. We'd rather do that part for you. Think of us as your beauty bestie with a notebook: we try things, we compare, and only the ones we'd genuinely press into a friend's hands make it through.

New, promising, proven — and we'll tell you which

A bit of hype doesn't earn a product a spot. When something buzzy lands, we watch it first, then we actually try it on our own faces, and only once it's earned its place does it become a proper EE-MO pick. When a trend is still finding its feet, we'll say so — so you can decide whether you're in the mood to be an early adopter, or you'd rather wait for the proven ones.

Every product has to earn its place

We don't need five near-identical serums doing the same job. If two of them are lovely, we won't add a third just because it's trending. No copycats, no shelf-clutter — just a tighter edit where everything's here for a reason.

We help you avoid the mix-ups

Some actives don't love being layered together, and it's easy to accidentally overdo it. So where it helps, we'll pop a plain-English note on how a product likes to be used — what it plays nicely with, what's better on alternate nights, and what to keep apart — so your routine feels good on your skin, not overloaded.

What we don't stock (and why)

Here's the honest bit. We say no to a fair few things: eye-watering acid percentages that skin doesn't really need, actives that just repeat what's already on the shelf, "everything but the kitchen sink" formulas chasing a trend, and products where the good stuff can't properly get to your skin anyway. And if something we used to carry leaves the range, we won't quietly make it disappear — we'll tell you why.

Still your beauty bestie

None of this makes us any less warm. We're still two mums who'll happily tell you which one prickles and which one cuddles your face like a fluffy cloud. There's just a clear set of standards sitting behind every "yes" — so when we say something's worth it, you can trust we mean it.
